BLS Workshops at KPK

PIMA Khayber Pakhtunkhwa has arranged four (4) BLS Workshops for doctors at Swat, Peshawar and Abbotabad to provide life-saving training according to the protocols of American Heart Association.

These workshops were held at Swat Medical College on 17th of September; Saidu Teaching Hospital Swat on 18th of September; Kuwait Teaching Hospital, Peshawar on 20th of September and Ayub Teaching Hospital Abbottabad on 22nd of September.

PIMA volunteer doctors attended these workshops in large numbers, who would then go on to deliver BLS sessions to the general public in Masajid on World Lifesavers Day, 25th September 2021.

Moreover, Trainers covered all aspects of BLS including airway management, use of defibrillator and CPR compression. Dr Abdul Hadi, Consultant Cardiologist; Dr Fazle Rabbi, intensive care specialist; Dr Misal Khan, Anesthesia consultant and Dr Bilal, Consultant cardiologist at Swat, Dr Abdul Rauf, Associate professor and Dr Sajjad Ullah Khan, senior registrar at Peshawar and Dr Ijaz Afzal, Professor of Anatomy Noshehra medical college at Abbotabad were facilitators of these workshops.
