Contemporary Issues in Reproductive Health: PIMA Seminars in Sukkur and Larkana

PIMA Women’s Wing Sindh organized one-day seminars on “Contemporary Issues in Reproductive Health Practice – Islamic Perspective” at Shaikh Zaid Hospital Larkana on 17th May and at GMMMC Sukkur on 18th May. Dr. Zakia Aurangzeb, a consultant gynecologist, delivered a lecture on “Reproductive Rights in Islamic Perspective.” The second lecture, on “Birth Spacing, Elective Termination of Pregnancy and IVF,” was given by Dr. Azra Jamil, a consultant gynecologist. This was followed by a question and answer session. The sessions concluded with remarks from Dr. Noor Un-Nisa Maher, President of PIMA Women’s Wing Sindh.

In Larkana, Dr. Noor Un Nisa Maher presented scarves in solidarity with the people of Palestine to the Head of Department, Dr. Shaista, and the attending PGs.

During this visit, meetings with associate members, House Officers, and PGs were also organized at Larkana and Sukkur. Dr. Zakia Aurangzeb, who is also the in-charge of PIMA Women’s Wing Sindh Medical Colleges, supervised these meetings. The meetings featured a Darse Quran session and a PIMA introduction. House job kits were also given to the participants.
