{"id":1373,"date":"2015-12-30T11:05:19","date_gmt":"2015-12-30T06:05:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pima.org.pk\/dev\/?p=1373"},"modified":"2017-02-02T16:35:00","modified_gmt":"2017-02-02T11:35:00","slug":"first-of-six-free-sugar-screening-and-care-provision-camp-held-at-peshawar","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pima.org.pk\/dev\/first-of-six-free-sugar-screening-and-care-provision-camp-held-at-peshawar\/","title":{"rendered":"First of six Free Sugar Screening Camp"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Peshawar, 30 December 2015: The first Free Sugar Screening and Care Provision Camp in the series of six was held on Dec 22, 2015 at Chamkani, district Peshawar.<\/p>\n<p>These camp are going to be held in earthquake affected districts of KPK in collaboration with AIMS Diabetes and Research Hospital Peshawar.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Khalid Waqas, the District Council Member and Dr. Muhammad Sharif, Member PIMA Relief KP inaugurated the camp.<\/p>\n<p>A team comprising of male and female care providers flanked by lab personnel and dietitian screened dozens of male and females patients for diabetes and provided care with free anti-diabetic drugs including injectable insulin. They also provided dietary counseling and education in a culturally appropriate and gender specific manner.
