Islamabad: International day for prevention of malaria was celebrated on 25th of April throughout the world including Pakistan. Recommending the allocation of Rupees One Billion for control of Malaria in the country, Pakistan Islamic Medical Association said that Malaria is curable disease but deteriorating sanitation and lack of prophylactic measures lead to death of one million people every year <\/span>in the world because of this ailment and 57% of this figure<\/span><\/p>\n

The unplanned urbanization of the population, deteriorating sewerage and bad sanitation are major causes of the spread of malaria\u2019. He added \u2018Cleanliness has been declared half of belief in Islam. Observing the Islamic principles of cleanliness in our day to day life can help control the diseases like malaria effectively in our society\u2019.<\/span><\/p>\n
