grave concern over the devastating US attack in Afghanistan

Islamabad, 17 April 2017: Pakistan Islamic Medical Association (PIMA) has expressed grave concern over the devastating US attack in Nangarhar, Afghanistan and urged the international community to take notice on this incident. “The situation is extremely dangerous and have a negative impact on the entire region”. Dr Abdul Malik, President PIMA said in a statement on Saturday that it is a violation of human life protection code and also against the rules of war.

He warned that extensive use of such bombs is the leading cause of spreading cancer in Afghanistan and neighboring Areas.

“Weapons containing radioactive elements are set extremely harmful effects on the human body, especially large number of children and pregnant women are being effected”, he added.

Dr Abdul Malik also appealed to the environmental protection institutions to contribute in the prevention of these harmful acts.
