The Women’s Wing of Pakistan Islamic Medical Association (PIMA) organized a series of workshops titled “Contemporary Issues in Reproductive Health Practice.” The aim was to harmonize Islamic teachings with contemporary healthcare Challenges.
These workshops, conducted in Karachi, Lahore, and Peshawar, were robustly attended by consultants, specialist gynecologists, and family physicians.
Expert doctors, scholars, and legal experts were invited to deliver talks on various topics. The program featured discussions on “Islamic Perspective of Contemporary Issues,” “Legal Guidelines and Country Laws,” “Ethico-religious Challenges in Assisted Reproduction and Solutions,” “Birth Spacing & Contraception,” “Elective Termination of Pregnancy,” and “Reproductive Rights: Divine Guidelines & Ground Realities.
