Distribution of ARI & Pneumonia Prevention Packages

Dir Lower, 30 December 2015: PIMA has distributed ARI and Pneumonia Prevention Packages to 100 families at Maskini Darra, Lower Dir in collaboration with Alkhidmat on 24 December.
The unit package consisted of Honey (1/2 Kgm), Vaseline (1 pack), Baby winter-wear with hood (1), Full sleeves coats for children under five (2), Full sleeves sweater for girl child (1), Shawl for mother / young girl (1), Sheet for father / young boy (1), Socks of small, medium and large sizes (1 pair each) and Quilt (1).
The village is a far flung mountainous area of Tehsil Samar Bagh district Lower Dir bordering with Kunar province of Afghanistan.
Majority of the people of the area live below the poverty line. The district especially the village was hard hit by the recent past earthquake.
Besides Dr Muhammad Sharif and Dr Saeed Anwar of PIMA Relief KPK, Mr. Abdul Wadood, (Tehsil President of AF) and Mr. Najmullah Khan (Tehsil JI Nazim) attended the collaborative event and distributed the packages among the families. They, in their speeches, urged upon the locals that no doubt needs far exceeded the humble support they provided. However it was solacing that they had not left their brethren alone during this hour of high trial and test as part of the same body to which they all belonged as Muslims.
