Islamabad, 26 December 2023: The 2-day Central Executive Council meeting of PIMA took place in Islamabad on December 23-24, presided over by Central President Dr. Abdul Aziz Memon. Elected members, including provincial presidents, the women wing president, and department heads from across the country, actively participated in the discussions.
This biannual meeting serves as a comprehensive platform for reviewing a myriad of activities and ongoing projects. The agenda encompasses diverse areas, including dawah and tarbiah initiatives, continued medical education, doctors’ advocacy, health awareness campaigns, and medical relief projects.
A resolution was passed expressing concern over the establishment of a Task Force on Medical Education and Patient Care by the Central Government, deeming it an unconstitutional step by the Caretaker Government.
This meeting is crucial for an in-depth assessment of PIMA’s progress, challenges, and strategies to achieve its multifaceted objectives. The discussions during this meeting also emphasize further planning to ensure the sustained success and impact of PIMA’s initiatives in the healthcare sector.
