On the occasion of International Women’s Day, the Pakistan Islamic Medical Association (PIMA) Women Wing joined a demonstration at the Karachi Press Club to express solidarity with the women of Gaza. Healthcare professionals from across the city came together to demand rights for the wounded women and pregnant mothers of Gaza, who lack access to anesthesia and proper medical facilities.
Participants displayed placards and banners advocating for the rights and welfare of women in Gaza as well as saluting the resilience and bravery of female doctors in Gaza who continue to provide medical care under challenging circumstances.
Central President of PIMA Women Wing Dr. Nasrat Iqbal, along with other senior officials including Dr. Azra Jameel, Dr. Aziza Anjum, Dr. Zakia Orangzeb, and Dr. Farakh Abu Hazim, led the demonstration and emphasized the critical need for international support to ensure the protection and well-being of women in Gaza.
