Dr. Sadiq Hussain Shaheed, former President of PIMA Azad Kashmir and former Head of the Pediatrics Department at Ponch Medical College, was posthumously awarded the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz (Medal of Excellence) on Pakistan Day, March 23, 2024 for his exceptional healthcare services towards humanity.
He bravely served on the frontlines during the COVID-19 pandemic, contracting the disease by fulfilling his duties and ultimately passing away.
The son of Dr. Sadiq Hussain received the medal from the Governor of Punjab on behalf of his late father. The PIMA team expresses heartfelt appreciation for his dedicated services and prays for his elevated ranks in the Hereafter.
