PIMA Balochistan Convention 2019

Quetta, 24 April 2019: One-day biennial convention of PIMA Balochistan was held at Quetta on 21 April 2019 comprising a multi-disciplinary scientific program. This was started with the recitation of Holy Quran by Dr Asad Qazi. Provincial president Dr Muhammed Shah welcomed the delegates came across the province. Dr Ashfaq Ahmad delivered thematic talk on خیرکم من تعلم القرآن وعلمہ. Dr Atta ur Rehman gave his keynote talk on preventive medicine and health in Islam.

CME session included talks by Dr Uzma Sohail on “Pregnancy and cardaic diseases”; Dr Umar hussain, FCPS in oral & maxillofacial surgery, Consultant SPH on “Scope of maxillofacial surgery”; Dr Abdul Nasir, FCPS Psychiatry consultant on “stress management in Islamic perception”; Dr Jameel zehri, FCPS on “Developmental dysplasia of hip joint” and Dr Ghulam Sarwar Pirkani, Head of department pathology and microbiology BMCH on “Leishmeniasis”. This was followed by speech of central PIMA president Prof Muhammad Afzal Mian. He gave an introduction of PIMA and its various activities to the audience.

Finally results of elections were announced in organizational session. PIMA members elected Dr Yousaf Nasir (ENT specialist, Bolan Medical Complex) as provincial president for next term 2019-21 by secret balloting. Biennial report of PIMA Balochistana also presented at this occasion. The program was ended with newly elected president introductory speech and dua.
