He has served as senior clinical psychologist in the Middle East and Africa and was the founder of the Psychological Clinic of the University of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in 1971. He has published widely in psychology and education and his works has been translated into many languages of the Islamic world.

Kamal Abu-Shamsieh

He was born in Ramallah, Palestine. He earned his Graduate Certificate in Islamic Chaplaincy from Hartford Seminary in 2011, and M.A. in Islamic Studies and Christian-Muslim Relations from Hartford Seminary in 2012. He works as a contractual chaplain at Stanford Hospital. To promote the concept of Islamic chaplaincy, he is supervising three pilot sites for Islamic Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) in Malaysia, Indonesia, and Saudi Arabia
