Shikarpur, 28 April 2015: the 2nd annual medical symposium by PIMA Shikarpur was held at District council Hall on 4th April 2015. More than 200 doctors attended this symposium. PIMA Shikarpur team worked very hard to make this event successful. The symposium was comprised on organizations and scientific sessions with the theme of “Wa Iza Mariztu Fahuwa Yashfen”. Dr Abdullah Khilji, president PIMA Sindh was the chief guest of Inaugural Session. Program started with the recitation of Holy Quran by Hafiz Adil Abdulla. Mr. Sadruddin Mahar delivered thematic lecture while Dr Azhar Ali Somro, President PIMA Shikarpur welcomed all the participants and gave PIMA introduction on this occasion. Provincial president praised and appreciated the PIMA Shikarpur team to organize such a successful event.
The scientific session covered many important topics including Peptic Ulcer Diseases, Malnutrition in Children, MDR TB and Laparoscopic Surgery addressed by prominent experts of relevant field. The speakers were including Dr Abrar Ahmed Shaikh (Principal Ghulam Muhammad Mahar Medical College Sukkur), Dr Sifullah Jamro (Dean Faculty of Medicine Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Medical University Larkana), Dr Gul Mohammad Buriro (Chest Specialist), Dr Zulfiqar Ali Soomro (Orthopedic Surgeon), Dr Shahid Mirani (Surgeon) and Dr Tufail Ahmed Soomro (Pediatrician)
