PIMA Women Wing organized a series of Breast Cancer Awareness sessions in Karachi, Lahore and Muzaffargarh, conducting multiple programs comprising presentations and brochure distributions.
On October 28th, Dr. Maimoona led a session at Ash Shajrah Islamic Academy in Karachi, attended by 30 teachers, while Dr. Fouzia Hassan conducted another session in FB Area with 25 participants.
On October 30th, a session was held at St. Lawrence Government Girls College Karachi, led by Dr. Farhana Azeem, and attended by approximately 70-80 participants, including the principal, professors, and students. Later that day, Jinnah Sindh Medical University (JSMU) hosted a breast cancer awareness session chaired by Dr. Zareen Raza. The event included presentations by Dr. Shazia Naz on the Women Self Care project and Dr. Sarah Ahmed, who introduced PIMA.
Two additional sessions were held in Lahore. Dr. Nuzhat Javed and Dr. Fozia Hassan conducted programs in Samnabad with 60 participants.
In Muzaffargarh, an awareness session on breast cancer and self-examination was conducted at DHQ Hospital, attended by 150 participants. A survey was conducted to assess audience awareness before and after the program, measuring the impact of the session.
